You will get a close-up look into the world of automobile repair, including theory and a large number of hands-on activities. You will discover how the internal combustion engine works and learn its various parts as you disassemble and reassemble an automobile engine. All sessions will be conducted with an emphasis on safety and will be supervised by the faculty and staff of the University’s School of Business auto/diesel department.

  • Gas engine — Follow service manual procedures to disassemble an engine in a small group setting, identify the components and their functions, and reassemble the engine
  • Preventive Maintenance — Learn to identify preventive maintenance needs as indicated by worn belts and hoses, leaks, and fluid levels
  • Electrical — Practice the use of diagnostic tools, such as a test light, multimeter, and a scan tool
  • Automotive Olympics — Participate in fun automotive related competitions including creeper races, tire throwing and car pulling (prizes will be awarded to the top performer in each category)
