Children's Literature Collection
Purpose
- Supply examples of noteworthy children's books for comparison and study. These should include, but are not limited to, books on the following lists:
- Newbery award
- Caldecott award
- ALA notable books
- Supply Elementary Education majors with books for projects in the Children's Literature and Adolescent Literature courses. Faculty input should be solicited.
- While we are happy that many juvenile readers benefit from the children's literature collection, parents should be aware that the collection is primarily a resource for University education students. Not all books in the collection are suitable for children.
