Circulation Policies and Fines
Community Borrowers
The BJU library is open to the public. Special permission or appointments are not necessary. Library cards are issued to individuals living in Greenville or within a 30-mile radius. There is a $2 processing fee per card.
Fines
A fine of $.10 per day is assessed for each item. Fines on reserve books and special materials (e.g., textbooks) are higher. If you receive an overdue notice for a book you believe you returned, contact Jennifer Howard, Circulation Supervisor.
All overdue charges should be paid at the Library. A student or graduate assistant may request that his account be charged. Fines not paid within 30 days will be automatically billed to the student’s account.
Lost Books
If a book is lost, notify the Circulation Supervisor, Jennifer Howard, immediately. If the book is not found in your possession or in the library, a bill will be sent which includes the price of the book, a non-refundable processing fee of $5, and if applicable, a $5 hardbacking fee. Please pay promptly when you receive the bill. If you or the Library finds the book within a year, you will receive a refund. Billing for lost books takes place three times a year (at the end of each semester and summer school).
