Media/Yearbook Chapel
Today’s Chapel program recognized the leadership, sacrifice, creativity, and hard work of those who provide broadcast and print media for the campus. The ACADEMIAN, TRIANGLE, WBJU-FM and WBJU-TV, THE COLLEGIAN, and VINTAGE staff members were presented with tokens of appreciation. The 2007-2008 VINTAGE was presented. The theme of this year’s book, “A time and place for everything,” is based on Ecclesiastes 3:11. This year’s dedicatee was Mr. Max Masters. Mr. Masters enrolled in Bob Jones University after having served in the army for four years. He graduated from BJU in 1968 and then spent a few years in Atlanta, managing the radio station WAVO. He returned to BJU in 1972 and has served faithfully in Audio Services for the last 36 years. Mr. Masters selflessly gives many hours, often coming back to campus in the evening, making sure each event on campus has the highest quality sound. He also works behind the scenes with many musical groups, ensuring they sound their best. He has worked quietly and efficiently using the gifts given to him by God.
