The 2000 Census showed a total population of about 201,000 people. This area has boasted an average growth rate of over 100% per decade for the last 30 years. While this growth must slow down, it is still expected to grow at a healthy 20-30% per decade. In 2000 the area was 19% Hispanic, 6% Black, and 9% Asian.
