Scheduling Options for Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Pastoral Theology degrees
Two-week option – Modular classes near the end of January and July each year begin on Monday at 1 p.m. and end on Friday at 9:30 a.m. This arrangement allows many pastors to attend the sessions without missing a single Sunday in their own churches. Many other pastors miss only one Sunday. By following the schedule of two-week courses, you may complete up to 24 credits in residence within three years. The modular schedule offers your required courses in a cycle of once every four years, and electives may be taken through the Extended Education department or summer school. Additional classes are available in June and the first two weeks of July for those who wish to accelerate their program.
One-week option – If you are unable to come for the full two weeks, you may miss the first week of class and pay a fee to view the missed classes via video tape. You can set this up through Admissions when you sign up for the course.
