During the "golden age of radio" Bob Jones University was, then as now, recognized as a leading Christian voice on radio. In those days before the emergence of television, the University was in the forefront among Christian institutions in finding creative ways to use high-quality radio programs for reaching audiences with the gospel.
"Fortress of Faith" was produced during that special era, when the best stories were told in the theater of the mind. In using drama, the broadcasts were produced according to the highest standards of the day and drew upon the wealth of acting, writing, and directing talent available from the Bob Jones University faculty.
