Dr. Ken Casillas

Dr. Casillas has served on the BJU faculty since 2001. With a doctorate in Old Testament Interpretation, he teaches a variety of Seminary courses in Hebrew, Old Testament theology and Old Testament exposition. His writings include The Law and the Christian: God's Lights within God's Limits. In addition to his teaching, Dr. Casillas ministers as senior pastor of Cleveland Park Bible Church in Spartanburg, S.C., and travels to Spanish-speaking countries to assist in training national workers.

Rev. Bob Crawford

Rev. Crawford has served as an assistant and investigator for Chace Campbell (P.A.) Law Firm since 2008, a position in which he regularly advocates for physically and sexually abused children. He has also volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem in Greenville County, S.C., since 1997. In his 37 years as a pastor, he has ministered to many individuals and families affected by sexual abuse and has developed a heart to love and help those who are hurting.

Daniel Hicks

Daniel Hicks is a licensed attorney and partner in the Ingersoll & Hicks, PLLC law firm in Winston-Salem, N.C. and Greenville, S.C. He focuses his practice on estate planning, trusts, tax, estate administration (probate), tax-exempt organizations and church law. A national peer-review rating service has rated Mr. Hicks “AV,” indicating that he has attained the highest level of competence and ethics in his field. He has valuable experience in helping churches establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures concerning abuse.

Ty Bracken Miller

Sgt. Miller began working at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in 1999 in Uniform Patrol. After breaking a triple homicide case, she was transferred to the Investigations Division Sex Crimes Unit in 2001. She was promoted to Master Deputy in 2007 and worked sex crimes cases in Greenville County until she was promoted to Sergeant over the School Enforcement Division in 2011. Her specialty is dealing with crimes against children with a focus in child molestation and abuse.

Debi Pryde

Over the past 30 years, Debi has taught classes, retreats and conferences and has authored Sunday school lessons, Bible studies and books. With two certifications as a biblical counselor, Debi has developed an effective ladies' Biblical counseling ministry through her local church in the Los Angeles area, conducts multiple annual seminars to equip women for effective counseling, and has ministered to many families who have suffered from the effects of sexual abuse.

Dr. Dave Shumate

Dr. Shumate lives in Phoenix, Ariz., and is the General Director of Mission Gospel Ministries International. He holds a law degree from Harvard and two advanced degrees from Bob Jones University Seminary. He taught in the Bob Jones University School of Religion and Seminary for eight years and served as an associate pastor for fifteen years. Dr. Shumate has been involved for many years in providing theological training for national pastors, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Pamela Snyder

Pamela is an accomplished communications and political consultant with over sixteen years experience. She is the founder of G&S Strategies, a non-profit that provides church ministries with forward thinking, Biblically-grounded communications programs. She served as the Communications Director for the U.S. Department of Labor under the Bush administration. Originally from South Carolina, Pamela earned a BS in Radio and Television Production from Bob Jones University and an MS in Telecommunications from George Mason University.
