What good is training if you don’t utilize it? For all the practical Christian training and leadership skills you’ve learned on campus, BJU provides many opportunities to follow Christ’s example of servant leadership and ministry off campus.
Students have been taking part in outreach ministries since the early days of BJU. Currently, more than 100 outreach groups flood the greater Greenville area every week taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ out into the community.

Local Churches
Central to a Christian’s walk is his or her involvement in the local church. To establish that pattern, BJU encourages you to faithfully attend and serve in one of the many Bible-believing churches in the Greenville area. Numerous churches in the greater Greenville community and in other states appreciate BJU students assisting in the various ministries.
Mission Teams
To extend the Gospel globally, BJU annually sends out summer mission teams made up predominantly of students. The teams encourage and partner with missionaries and churches in other countries and help with building projects, musical missions, vacation Bible schools, tract distribution and more.
Summer & After Graduation
The Office of Outreach Ministries keeps students informed of avenues for summer service, including serving at a local church or ministering at a camp.
For students who want to help out a small congregation after graduation, there are numerous smaller churches wanting their help. Those students interested in church planting can find a list of various needy areas in the United States without any good churches.
