Before taking up his present role as vice president for administration, Dr. Gary Weier served at Bob Jones University for 12 years as a professor and another three as the registrar. With his perspective on education and his heartfelt desire to see others grow in Christlikeness, Dr. Weier is in a perfect position to maximize his gifts at BJU. Helping oversee administrative functions and academics, he is able to have a direct impact on the next generation of Christians by shaping in them a biblical worldview through Bible-based liberal arts education. Seeing these students go out and glorify the Lord in a lost world gives Dr. Weier great joy.
Dr. Gary Weier serves as a deacon at his local church and is also the commissioner for the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. He and his wife, Rebecca, were married in 1990 and have 4 children. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in speech communication from BJU and a doctorate in philosophy from Purdue University.
