Bob Jones University is a Christian liberal arts university. Founded in 1927 by Dr. Bob Jones Sr., BJU is the world’s largest fundamental Christian school and serves over 4,000 students from every state and 40 foreign countries. BJU’s combination of evangelism, culture, high academic standards and Christian discipline is not found in the same combination anywhere else.
Mission Statement – Within the cultural and academic soil of liberal arts education, Bob Jones University exists to grow Christlike character that is scripturally disciplined, others-serving, God-loving, Christ-proclaiming and focused above.
Location – Bob Jones University is located in Greenville, S.C. The city is in the northwestern part of the state in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. It is 100 miles southwest of Charlotte, N.C., and 150 miles northeast of Atlanta, Ga. The city has a population of 60,000 while Greenville County has well over 300,000 citizens.
Campus – Bob Jones University has a beautifully kept campus occupying 205 acres just within the city limits of Greenville, South Carolina. There are 10 residence halls fully wired for web access. Also on campus are a 7,000-seat amphitorium, a 2,600-seat auditorium, and a 3,300-seat dining common. One of the many highlights of the campus is the BJU Museum & Gallery, recognized as one of America’s finest collections of Italian paintings.
Student Body – Over 4,000 students representing every state and 40 foreign countries.
Academics – A wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Five of our most popular majors are Bible, Biblical Counseling, Elementary Education, Humanities and Nursing. The University is accredited through TRACS.

Campus Life – There are many student organizations to be involved in, from musical groups to campus media, to community relations, to student government and many others.
Tuition – 2009-2010 tuition for one semester is $5,760 and room/board is $2,550.
Financial Aid – BJU offers about $8 million in student financial aid each year. Federal grants are also available.
