About Ken

Aside from being an Associate Professor of Accounting, Ken is a Licensed CPA with current status in the states of California and South Carolina and is an owner of small boutique virtual CPA practice specializing in International Tax and Forensic Accounting. Mostly serving American Expats living in Argentina, Portugal, France, and Lebanon.

Professionally, Ken has over 30 years of experience in Public and Private Accounting. He has worked for Price Waterhouse in Dallas, Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, General Motors for Latin America, Africa, Middle East, in Miami, Avery Denison in Pasadena and his last position in Corporate America before dedicating his life into Academia, Vice President, Chief Audit Executive of Public Storage in Glendale, California. Ken has been involved in two "mega" mergers, the $2.5bn acquisition of Jackstadt GmbH by Avery Denison and the $5bn acquisition of Shurgard Europe by Public Storage.

Academically, Ken has taught for over 13 years, Principles of Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Tax Accounting, Forensic Accounting, International Accounting and International Business at University of La Verne and Azusa Pacific University, both in California.

Ken has worked in 42 countries, speaks 6 languages, Armenian, Arabic, Turkish, French, Spanish and German. Married for twenty-six years. Ken and wife have a Navy Veteran son, and live in Greenville, South Carolina.
