The University Opera Association mounts Camille Saint-Saëns’ dramatic and beautiful opera, which portrays the biblical story of Samson as he turns his eyes from the God of the Hebrews to the worldly pleasures of the oppressive Philistines and the deceptive ploys of the temptress Dalila.

In this one-act play by the godmother of the American theatre, two women take up residence in an abandoned life-saving station on the outer shore of the cape of Provincetown, Massachusetts, where they grieve the loss of their husbands. In a life-giving act of communion, their combined grief gives them hope for the future.
