Is your counseling not working? A common reason for such failure is the neglect to understand the heart issues behind a presenting behavior. Since presenting problems are often behavioral in nature, we are likely not targeting the heart beliefs, attitudes, or thoughts that energize the behavior if we simply address what we see. This workshop will explore a brief theology of the heart, propose diagnostic tools that aid in understanding the heart, and consider an example of how to apply biblical truth to a particular heart problem.
