his workshop gives an introduction to the concept of childhood trauma and how it affects the brain. We also will discuss Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and give participants a chance to take the ACEs survey. The last half of the workshop focuses on resilience and the 5 Protective Factors needed to promote resilience in the lives of those who have experiences trauma. Participants will walk away with: • A better understanding trauma's affect on the brain • Tangible ways to incorporate the 5 Protective Factors into their personal and/or professional life.
