About

Mr. Weaver earned a BBA in Accounting from Lander University and a Master of Professional Accountancy in Taxation from Clemson University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and certified as a Personal Financial Specialist with the AICPA.  Mr. Weaver invested over thirteen years in public accounting, beginning at Arthur Andersen and ending his service as a senior manager at Ernst & Young.  In addition to his teaching role at BJU, he is currently a partner and Senior Private Wealth Advisor at Blue Trust, where he leads a team and assists families steward their resources.   

Mr. Weaver has worked on a variety of industries and companies including both public and private entities.  He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and personal income tax, executive compensation, and various other areas. He was a key member of the large financial statement restatement team of the HealthSouth fraud case in Birmingham, Alabama.  During his time in both public accounting and financial services, he has developed and taught continuing professional education and teaches for the South Carolina Association of CPAs.

When he is not working, Jeremy is spending time with his wife and two sons in their home in Greenville.  He is an elder and teacher at Second Presbyterian church in Greenville and has been involved in various board roles, including a church planting ministry in Northern Peru, Peru Mission USA.  He is an avid lover of the arts, theatre, reading, cooking for his family and friends, and of course, Clemson football.  He hopes to communicate a genuine love for truth, technical expertise, and a deepening ability in FinTech to his students.
