About

Dr. Lanpher began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse in a community hospital intensive care unit in 2008. She completed a graduate degree and obtained licensure as a nurse practitioner in 2012. Since then, she has provided care to patients with renal disorders at a private nephrology practice in Spartanburg, SC.

In that professional work, she provides care to patients with autoimmune disorders, end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis, electrolyte disorders, and uncontrolled hypertension. She completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2024 while conducting a scholarly project entitled "Audit and Feedback and Use of SGLT-2 Inhibitors to Delay Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease." During that project, providers significantly altered their prescriptive practice to align with a new clinical guideline benefiting patients with diabetic kidney disease.

Dr. Lanpher came to BJU in 2017. She teaches courses in pharmacology and medical-surgical simulation. She has taken students to clinical experiences in adult medicine, critical care, and mental health rotations. She remains active with students outside the classroom through discipleship groups and one-on-one mentoring.
