About
Shawn Goff grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, at Bob Jones, and attended kindergarten through college. He met the love of his life, Kimberlee (Secord) Goff, while an undergrad in 1993. They have been married for 30 years. He spent 25 years in a career with CVS Health, Inc. in various roles including retail management, training & development, employee relations, and human resources. He most currently spent the previous six years at BJU as the Assistant Director of Admission. He also taught fifth grade for eight years at a small Christian school in Waianae, Hawaii, during which time his two oldest children were born. All four of his children have been graduated from BJU or are attending the university currently.
Mr. Goff's BS in Financial Management and MA in Communication Studies are both from BJU. He is currently working on his PhD in Communication from Liberty University and has completed all but his dissertation which he hopes to defend by Spring of 2026. He teaches two sections of Fundamentals of Speech (COM 101), one section of Comm Theories & Research (COM 304), one section of Training & Development-EXP (COM 505), and serves as the faculty advisor for the University Human Resources Association (UHRA). He is passionate about public speaking, training & development, and communication studies. He is also an avid Star Wars and Marvel fan and has one of the most unique offices on campus filled with collectibles and memorabilia.
Mr. Goff is an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Taylors, South Carolina, where he currently leads a men's ministry of weekly visitation to the Greenville County Detention Center. He is passionate about the Lord Jesus Christ and has used his teaching, public speaking, and leadership skills to help train others to better connect with those in the community for the kingdom of Christ.
