About Tim

Mr. Tim Winstead joined the BJU full-time faculty in 2022, after serving a year in an adjunct capacity.  After graduating as an accounting major from BJU, he became a Certified Public Accountant and worked in audit/tax for the accounting firm known today as RSM McGladrey- the 5th largest accounting firm in the US.

In 2010 he earned a Master’s degree in Accounting (with an emphasis in Tax) from Gardner-Webb University where he became a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration. 

For over 30 years, Mr. Winstead owned and operated a successful business in eastern North Carolina that maintained operations in multiple states in the southeast.  Desiring to follow the Lord’s leading, he sold that business in 2020 and began looking to transition to a full-time ministry.    

Moving to Greenville, he and his wife now are members of Heritage Bible Church in Greer.   When he’s not working - as a former high school baseball coach- Mr. Winstead enjoys most outdoor activities, landscaping, and traveling.
