Scholarship Summit Frequently Asked Questions

Scholarship Questions
If I attend the Summit, am I guaranteed to receive a scholarship?
Yes! Every student who participates in the Scholarship Summit will receive at least $500 per year—guaranteed.
When will I find out how much scholarship money I’ve been awarded?
You’ll receive your scholarship results 1–2 weeks after the Summit.
Is the scholarship just for my first year?
The scholarship you earn at the Summit is awarded for up to 4 years/8 semesters at BJU and is transferable if you change majors.
How do you decide the scholarship amount?
We want to get to know you—your interests, strengths, goals, and potential. Your award is based on a holistic evaluation, including your faculty interview and your engagement during the event.

Residence Halls
Where will students stay? What about parents?
Students have the opportunity to stay in the BJU Residence Halls and experience college life firsthand, or they can join their parents in staying in a local hotel of their choice. Discounted partner hotel options will be available here.
How do meals work for students and parents?
All on-campus meals during the Summit are provided for students and their parents.
Do you offer a travel allowance for those coming from a long distance?
While we’re excited to welcome students from all over, we’re not able to provide travel assistance.
I can’t attend the Summit. Can I still receive the scholarship?
The Scholarship Summit is designed as an in-person experience, and participation is required to receive the scholarship. We encourage you to make every effort to attend.
Can I participate virtually if I can’t travel?
Because the Summit includes interviews, interactive sessions, and experiences that rely on being on campus, virtual participation isn’t available.
