What type of high school did you graduate from?
Christian School

Why did you choose BJU?
I knew that being able to think, learn, and listen with the foundation of a biblical worldview is so important for living in today’s world. I wanted to learn from teachers and make friends with people who would help me thrive as much spiritually as academically and socially.

How have you grown over your years at BJU?
Being at BJU helped me grow my perspective of Christianity from being simply a religion, to a lifestyle that has bearing on every aspect of my life. I’ve had so many great experiences that grew me socially and personally as well. The more you get involved at BJU, the more you find out what you’re capable of and where God might be calling you.

What’s your favorite verse or Scripture passage?
One of my favorites is Psalm 28:7 — it reminds me that I can be joyful because God helps me when I trust in Him. No matter the season, I have help, and I can rejoice.

What was your favorite class in college? Why?
I really enjoyed taking Religious Freedom in America. It not only helped me understand how the present U.S. came to be, but I also got to partner with students from the Middle East to learn their perspective on religious freedom and discuss different ideas. Classes at BJU are always challenging in the best ways and stretch you to think about both your personal world and the larger world around you.

What are your hobbies or interests?
I love reading, playing the piano, watching movies, and I’m always up for a good cup of tea. I’m also fascinated by languages!

What sort of campus organizations were you involved in?
I dabbled in a lot of things, from writing for the student literary magazine to volunteering as an English practice partner to leading my society in planning murder mystery parties. I had a lot of fun and got myself involved in things I never expected. There’s always something happening on campus, so don’t be afraid to go out and dive right in!

Any advice for incoming students?
Be willing to try everything at least once, but know that if it doesn’t work out, that’s okay! Throw yourself wholeheartedly into something new, ask for help if you need it, and find good friends. Support others, be supported, and grow in God together.
