New International Student Orientation
August 15–21, 2026
Orientation introduces you to life at BJU and helps your transition into college life. We have a very exciting lineup of activities planned as you learn how to succeed at BJU. If you are flying directly to BJU from your home, schedule your flight to arrive in the Greenville Spartanburg International Airport (airport code GSP). BJU will pick you up and bring you to campus.
When you arrive, check in at the Center for Global Opportunities (Alumni Building, CGO). Check-in for New International Student Orientation will open Saturday, August 15 between 1–5:00 p.m. All international students are required to attend. A fee of $250 will be added to your October bill for the costs of providing this orientation.

- Make friends with current students, faculty, and other new students
- Explore parks and shopping in the Greenville area and attend a local church together

- Attend sessions on health insurance, on-campus employment, and visa compliance
- Hear from current students/staff about cultural adjustment, academic resources, and finding your community here
Get Settled
- Set up any needed U.S. banking/cell phone accounts and connect your technology to the BJU network
- Receive required health immunizations and figure out your class schedule
Student Identification Card Information
To receive your official Student ID card once you arrive, please email a picture that meets the photo submission guidelines to [email protected] by August 1.

Accommodations for Students
Residence Hall students will be placed in their permanent rooms for the semester, so you can directly move in on check-in day! Your on-campus meal plan will be active during Orientation as well.
Town students will be assigned a temporary dorm room for the duration of Orientation (August 15 - 21). The cost of housing is covered by your Orientation fee. Meal plans can be purchased through AVI Fresh.
Students moving into campus more than 48 hours before check-in will be charged a fee of $50 per night.

Bob Jones University welcomes families to accompany their students to orientation. Since our residence halls are designed for students only, family members should reserve their own housing in Campus View Apartments on a first-come basis. Space is limited. In the case that Campus View Apartments is full, please see these hotels for families.

If you’re arriving by plane, bus or train, we can give you a ride to campus. Shuttle service is provided from:
- Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
- Greenville bus station
- Greenville train station
