Bruce McAllister

Dr. Bruce McAllister currently serves as the President and CEO of Bob Jones University. Prior to his appointment as president, Dr. McAllister served as Vice President for Ministry, where he regularly preached and represented the University both on and off campus, including speaking engagements in University and Seminary Chapel.

Before returning to BJU, he spent four years as Director of Ministry Relations at GFA Missions, assisting with church staffing and church planting, while also maintaining a preaching and teaching ministry.

Dr. McAllister’s long-standing service to BJU spans over four decades. He began in 1977 as a graduate assistant in Ministerial Training and Outreach. Over the years, he taught Bible at Bob Jones Academy and Bible and Church Ministries at the University. From 1991 to 2014, he served as Director of Ministerial and Outreach Ministries, overseeing the ministerial class and its core courses, the University’s church staff placement service, and student outreach ministries. He also served as Director of Ministry Relations and Director of Pastor Relations.

He holds four degrees from Bob Jones University—BA in Bible, MA in Pastoral Studies, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry (DMin).

Bruce and his wife Ellen have four children and eight grandchildren.
