Check-In & Residence Hall Move-In

When you arrive on campus, head to your residence hall and move in before coming to the Davis Field House to check in. Check your student email to locate your residence hall.
8 a.m.–5 p.m.

After moving into your residence hall room, come to the DFH to complete your academic check-in, pick up your class shirt, activate your ID card, connect your laptop, and more.

If you plan to take music lessons, participate in a music ensemble, band, orchestra, or choir, you will need to audition.

College is so much more than strictly academics. Part of the “college experience” is getting plugged in with groups and organizations. Extra-curricular activities will enhance and deepen your educational experience.

Wondering what societies are? Hearing about “Rush”? How long do I have to select a society? Come see what it is all about. For new students only.
- Outreach Opportunities
Connecting the classroom with outreach, the CGO and CLD exist to promote 21st century gospel expansion. Learn how you can get involved in outreaches throughout the Greenville area, across the country and around the world during your time as a BJU student.

Join the Bruins for their exhibition of the women’s volleyball scrimmage game. We will introduce our new Bruin athletes and welcome our new students to campus.

This is a meeting required for all new students (first-year and transfer students).

- Thriving in College (Stratton Hall)
This session is designed for first-year students and transfer students new to BJU. Learn how to thrive in your first-year at BJU. Transfer students will have a special breakout during this time.

If you have questions about your schedule, meet with your First-year advisor in the Academic Resource Center to answer your questions.

Your class will be presented by the student body leaders and welcomed by the president as members of the university community. The incoming freshman class processional is a tradition of the Opening Exercises each year.

Required meeting for all undergraduate students. This seminar explains how the student covenant and the code of conduct contribute to helping the whole student grow toward Christlikeness.

Drop/Add provides an opportunity to make any necessary course schedule adjustments. At the end of the drop/add period, student class schedules are set for the semester.

As a visa student with an I-20, you are under a special set of regulations enforced by the United States Department of Homeland Security; these regulations begin immediately upon entry to the U.S. and continue until final departure. Mr. Andrew Knox, our campus International Student Advisor, will review some limitations and benefits on the student visa and will explain campus work authorization. There will be time for questions and answers.

This is the night everyone has been anticipating—when you choose your society! All new and transfer students will come to the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium by 5:45 p.m. to make their final decision. Once you make your choice, a society representative will direct you to your society induction location. You will be welcomed into the society and begin your society experience at BJU.
