International Transfer and Former Students

Transferring to BJU
International students who are transferring to Bob Jones University from another post-secondary institution should follow the same application process as all first-time international students with the following additional needs.
Transferring From a School in the United States
Please submit transcripts for all secondary and post-secondary coursework. If you attended a high school outside of the United States, you may be required to submit an international transcript evaluation report.
You do not need to apply for a new visa. Instead, you will transfer their SEVIS record from your present school to BJU. You will then receive a new Form I-20 from BJU. In addition to the general admission documents, you will also need to submit the following documents:
- Your latest I-94 record
- A SEVIS Transfer-In Form
You will need to complete the financial guarantee again. After submitting a financial affidavit and bank statement(s), you should fill out the top portion of a SEVIS Transfer-In Form, then give the form to the International Student Advisor (Designated School Official) at your current school for completion. You must submit a signed Transfer-In Form before a new Form I-20 can be issued from BJU.
If you plan to depart the United States for a brief visit home before attending BJU, notify your International Admission Counselor for travel advice and to ensure that we know how to contact you for admission and visa documents.
Transferring From a School Outside the United States
Please submit an international transcript evaluation for all secondary and post-secondary coursework. Students must select a course-by-course evaluation that includes GPA calculation and credit conversion. International transcript evaluations must be received before an admittance decision can be made.
We accept international transcript evaluations from World Education Services, The Evaluation Company, or another NACES-approved foreign credential evaluation service. Students who request an evaluation through BJU’s custom portal with The Evaluation Company will receive a discount.

Note: International student athletes must submit an international transcript evaluation through InCred International Credential Evaluations to be eligible to play per NCCAA guidelines. Request an InCred transcript evaluation here.
Re-enrolling with BJU
You do not need to create a new application if you are:
- An undergraduate student who has left BJU for two semesters or less
- A graduate student who has left BJU for four semesters or less
Please contact the international admission counselor to ask about adding a term reservation.
If you have been away from BJU for longer than the above time periods, you should create a new application and follow the international student admission process. Please note the following differences:
- You will pay a $50 re-enrollment deposit to confirm your reservation as an admitted student.
- You will need to complete the financial guarantee again to receive a new I-20. Please contact the International Team for visa advising.
- Is BJU the last school you attended? Any post-secondary coursework completed after leaving BJU must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office. If you completed coursework outside of the U.S., please submit an international transcript evaluation that includes GPA calculation and credit conversion.
Please visit our Former Students page for more information on our general re-enrollment process.
