International Admission Process

Bob Jones University welcomes and encourages ethnic diversity and cultural awareness that international students, missionary kids, and third-culture kids bring to the student body. Currently, more than 30 countries are represented by students who bring a unique perspective and testimony of God’s work in their homelands.
Step 1: Apply to BJU
If you are a non-U.S. citizen and need an F-1 Student Visa, you will follow the admission process below. Green card holders and U.S. citizens living abroad will follow the admission process outlined here.
You can apply to BJU any time during your final year of high school.
- Start early. You should apply 6-9 months before you intend to start classes. Please be aware that several requirements of the international admission process rely on services outside of BJU. Late applications are considered on a rolling basis.
- Submit your application. You can expect to write a few personal statements and submit contact information for two people who can write recommendations.
- Pay the application fee. A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required to officially submit the application.
Visa Status in the Application:
- If you are currently in the U.S. and have a visa status, choose the correct one from the drop-down box.
- If you are not currently in the U.S., you should leave the visa status question blank.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Once you have finished your application, you will gain access to your personal admission portal with a checklist to track your progress and a space to upload documents. Your admission counselor will connect with you and direct you to your next steps.

Financial Aid
BJU offers both academic scholarships and need-based financial aid to international students. Students are automatically considered after they have been admitted — no extra application necessary!
While BJU is blessed to offer 99% of its international students with financial aid, scholarships are partial-tuition only and will not cover the full cost to attend BJU. Students should prepare outside sources of funding to help with their education.
